After a long wait, Erie’s Bob Sanders is a member of the San Diego Chargers. Sanders agreed to a one-year deal with the Chargers in March, a week before the NFL locked out its players in the absence of a collective bargaining agreement. After the lockout ended, free agents could officially sign new contracts Friday.

Wide receiver Vincent Jackson signed his franchise tag with the San Diego Chargers on Friday.The one-year contract is worth almost $11 million for the Jackson, who refused to sign his tender last season and did not get on the field until December.He finished his abbreviated season with 14 receptions for 248 yards and three touchdowns.Jackson, 28, was one of the 10 plaintiffs in the Brady vs. NFL antitrust lawsuit that was dropped when the lockout resolved.
